a feel of what to expect or...
to try to experience what you missed!

Mini High Adventure Camp is going to be held on
South Manitou Island in
beautiful lake Michigan. This is one of two islands which are part of the
Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore
The cost is $95 for scouts, $40 for adults.
We will be staying at Camp Greilick near Traverse City on Friday night and going
over to the island on Saturday morning.

As you can see the cost is
much higher than our normal tent campouts, but this is due to:

Ferry Boat tickets to
Manitou Island
-
Higher National Park camp
fees
-
Camping on Friday night in
adirondacks at Camp
Greilick, instead of putting up tents late Friday night

A 4 day campout in stead of
a 3 day campout which results in 8 meals instead of the the usual 4
-
Possible higher costs of
backpacking food
-
Higher gas expense due to
travel distance
Please bring in your signed
permission slip to the (6/10) Troop meeting, along with you $30 deposit. If
you are not attending, we also need to know that, since we have to order the
Ferry Boat tickets by the end of the week.
NOTICE:
Electronic equipment (iPods, Game boys etc.) can be used in the vehicles on the
ride to and from the Camp site. Upon arrival to the site, all equipment will
remain in the vehicle that you are assigned to, and will not be available until
the return drive home.

We will be leaving on Friday at 5:30 and returning home about 11:30pm on Monday.
