March 22 2008 - March 28 2008
Check out Sea Base here
November 5th 2007 I have emailed the balance sheet for Sea Base. The amount in red is your current balance for the portion of the cost due to Florida Sea Base. This is the amount due by the 11/27/07 troop meeting. Contact Mr. Goetz if you did not receive the email or the worksheet. October 5th Sea Base Crew & Parents: Can you smell the salt
air? (It may be the remnants of last night's fish sticks) We will be having our
first crew meeting on Tuesday October 9 at 6:15 PM in the Troop Room at
FCC. It is very important that a parent attends for each scout. Please come prepared to leave a $100 deposit, for air travel for each crew member. We will keep the meeting short so that all who wish to go to the driving range afterward will not be late. YiS,
David Goetz
August 10th 2007 Also, for those scouts/dads who
have placed their deposit for Sea Base, expect an e-mail from Dave Goetz by this
weekend with some approximate costs. One thing that Sea Base requires is a total
of 50% ($325) of the progarm fee paid per person by 9/1. Since everyone has a
deposit of $100 in, that means another $225 is due at the picnic. The balance to
Sea Base ($325/person) will be due by December 15th. Dave will be giving some
approximate air fare costs, as flights will have to be booked as soon as
possible to obtain lower fares, meaning additional cost soon. One point to
remember is that any payments are being sent on to Sea Base/Airlines, etc and
are probably non-refundable, so any payments made are committing you to the trip
or you will lose this money.
Troop 1610 has secured reservations for 3 crews
in the Florida Sea Base Lottery. We are reserved for for Easter Break 2008 for
the Keys Adventure arriving 3/22/08 and departing 3/28/08.
Informational meeting on Tuesday
January 8th at 6:30 sharp! Parents and Scouts: If your son is interested in SCUBA, deep sea fishing, snorkeling, sailing or camping on a beach in the Florida Keys ; this may interest you. On Tuesday January 9, 2007 at 6:30 PM , in the Troop Room at FCC there will be an informational meeting regarding the troop's planned bid for a Florida Sea Base Adventure in 2008. We will discuss potential dates and determine the youths' interest in specific adventure activities. We will also discuss cost and eligibility requirements. Troop 1610 must bid for 2008 openings during the month of January, so it is crucial that we assess their interests prior to the bidding process. We must also determine the number of interested youth and adults to determine the crew size and the possibility of multiple crews or adventure activities. For further information please contact me or go to the Florida Sea Base website. Please arrive on-time as we have much to discuss.
