Summer Camp Parents Meeting July 24th

Our next Troop meeting on June 24, 2008 is the 2008 Summer Camp Parent's Meeting at the Troop Room. We will provide information, including a hand out, regarding summer camp.

As a reminder, we do not meet on July 1, 2008.

On July 8, 2008, we will meet directly at Waterworks Park (Marywood & Lloyd, E of Crooks, N of 12 Mile) for soccer, kickball and tennis.

Sincerely,

Manitou Island campout

The permission slip for the Manitou Island campout taking place on 6/20-6/23 was sent out with a return date including payment due by yesterday's Troop Swim Nite (June 10th). This payment date was sent as the Ferry Boat company requested paying for tickets two weeks before our scheduled trip to ensure there is space available. This is not a campout that payment can be made at the last minute. But as of yesterday's meeting, I only received payment for 10 scouts and 5 adults. If you intend on going you need to drop off the permission slip with payment by this Thursday, June 12th, at the Troop Room between 6:30-7:00, while I am there. I will be ordering the tickets on Friday morning, and will not place an additional ticket order

Annual Troop 1610 planning session this Saturday, June 14th,

We have the annual Troop 1610 planning session this Saturday, June 14th,

have your voice heard on what the troop does next year.

If you can't attend, please e-mail me some activity ideas (up to five) that
we can discuss at the meeting. For those of you who filled out the activity

District Scout Day camp - Help needed!

Northridge District Cub Day Camp needs help, adults and junior staff are needed!.
This is a good opportunity for the Scouts to get their community service hours for rank advancement. It's also a good opportunity to meet Webelos looking for a troop to join.

Click HERE for the DAC page describing the event.

Day Camp is at Clawson Park and is north of 14 mile and west of Main St. (where the Fourth of July fireworks are held)
The dates are June 23 -26 from 8 am to 4 pm, but staff would need to be there a bit earlier for setting up activities. Working all four days would be great, but only a few days would also be very helpful.

Please contact Mr. Goetz if you can help.
