Flag day

Flag Day is Sunday June 14th.

The Royal Oak Elks Club has invited us to participate in a flag ceremony at their Lodge on June 11, 2009 (Thursday night). Scouts and parents are welcome to attend. We would like 6 to 12 Scouts in Class A uniforms to attend and post the colors. A special color guard will perform a flag ceremony. After the ceremony, the Elks will provide some food for the guests and participants.

Please call me if you want to attend.
Sincerely,Mark A. Pitchford

Ross U's Eagle Scout Project

TO ALL SCOUTS AND ADULTS:

There are still numerous opportunities for service hours by distributing fliers throughout Royal Oak.

This can be done at the convenience of the scouts doing the work. I'll only be continuing this for a few more weeks so please take the opportunities while they're still available.
Please email or call if you want to help out.

Ross U's Eagle Scout Project

ATTENTION ADULTS AND HIGH SCHOOL AGE SCOUTS OF TROOP 1610:
My Eagle Project benefit concert is this Saturday, as I mentioned at the meeting on Tuesday. I need adult and older scout volunteers to work at the concert, selling tickets, helping out back stage, unloading and loading equipment, and selling concessions.

There are MANY opportunities for service hours for the older scouts who need them or those who just want to help out. Work will be in two hour shifts starting at 11:00 Saturday morning, and ending at midnight that night.

Please email or call me at some point before Saturday morning if you're willing to work.

Scout Service Hours

The Berkley Freinds of the Library are having a book sale this weekend at the Berkley Ice Arena (Catalpa and Robina; just west of Coolidge). They asked for assistance with set up TONIGHT (May 14th) from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm and for tear down on Sunday from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Parents of Troop 1610 Scouts:

I can't attend and just received the request this evening, so I don't know if any Troop Adult Leader will be attending. Please verify that an Adult Troop Leader is in attendance for this activity or please stay with your Scout for the event.

If you need more information, please contact Margaret Grassa at 248 546-6074.

Sincerely,Mark A. Pitchford
