There is no Troop Meeting July 14, 2009 (Summer Camp)

There is no PLC Meeting July 16, 2009 (Summer Camp)

Meeting on July 21, 2009 directly at Bicycle Hill park (Vinsetta and Marias ) East of Crooks on Vinsetta. We are playing baseball at the park.

Meeting on July 28, 2009 (this may be a service project at an off site location) details to follow.

Summer Camp UPDATE

Summer Camp Updates from Mr. Vertel
Packing
When packing the scouts, make sure you are packing in bags that the boys can carry into camp. Camp Frontier does not allow scout's personal gear to be transported into camp in any vehicles (Cars, troop trailers, etc). This means that the personal gear will be unloaded in the parking lot & the boys will carry the gear into camp. I've been told it is a 1/4 to 1/2 mile hike. For adult attendees they can leave their gear in the trailer and the trailer will be taken into camp by camp personnel.

Medications
Make sure any medications are in their original packaging with dosage instructions clearly visible. If over the counter medications are being send please fill out a card with dosage instructions. Place these items in a zip loc bag with the scout's names on the bag. These will be collected on Sunday prior to leaving for camp. Please note if a scout requires an inhaler, they can keep this item with them.

T-Shirts
Although the camp requires full class A uniforms for dinner, the scouts while in their programs will be in scout class B t-shirts. A class B is our Troop red t-shirt or t-shirts from other boy scout camps attended. If you need to purchase any extra t-shirts they will be available at Tuesday's meeting (July 7th). The cost is $10 per t-shirt.

Make sure these are paid at Tuesday's July 7th meeting.

Health Forms
Also, although I received some health forms, I am still missing a few items. Please look at the attached spreadsheet and pay attention to the color your name is highlighted in. The color codes are as follows:

Bright Green - You had your items in by the original date & are all set.
Light Green - You submitted items in the last week that brought your forms current and are all set
Yellow
- A physical is on file, but you are missing the required forms that have a "no" in the column
Red - No physical is on file and you are missing the required forms that have a "no" in the column

I will be at tomorrow's Troop meeting (July 7th), and you can get these items to me than. Otherwise you will need to stop by my house to get these to me by Saturday.

I will not have time on Sunday to be sorting through forms, while we are trying to prepare to leave for camp.
